Office of Research and Data Analysis. Our team provides accurate, reliable, and timely data services, including collection, analysis, and interpretation, to enable data-driven policymaking and practice. Additionally, we provide ad hoc research services for the Department to address specific health needs. 2022 – Present

THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (FDOH)

Partnered with the Florida State University Pepper Institute and Claude Pepper Center to analyze health disparities among Floridians living with disabilities as well as black women of reproductive age. 2022

Working with Florida State University Pepper Institute and Claude Pepper Center, Knowli was chosen to act as an external evaluator of two pilot projects to reduce disparaging health outcomes for Florida mothers.  Through regular monitoring, client interviews, and advanced data analysis, Knowli will show FDOH the level of impact of the programs, and we will identify factors that drive success. 2022 – Present

Provide analysis regarding options for changing the geographic distribution of the FDOH Early Steps regions for increased programmatic effectiveness. 2023                               

Knowli is partnering with Alachua County FDOH to perform their federally mandated Community Health Assessment.  By surveying, sampling, and hosting focus groups with local organizations and citizens, we will help the county make health decisions that best fit the community’s needs. 2023

Conducted exploratory analysis and assessment of Florida Department of Health Child Care Food Programs (FDOH CCFP) claims data to determine potential fraud, waste, and abuse. Presented a forensic analysis and other findings to FDOH Leadership, US Secret Service Special Agents, IRS Special Agents, USDA OIG Special Agents, and AUSAs for the Southern District of Florida.  2016 – 2019

THE TEXAS HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION: Office of Inspector General (HHSC OIG)

Partnered with ISF, Inc. to create an algorithm to detect fraud, waste, and abuse in the Texas Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). 2021 – 2022

Conducted Program Evaluation of The Southern Scholarship Foundation and Food, Housing, and Basic Needs Insecurity Research among college students. Provided Survey Design, Fielding, and Data Management Services along with analytics and data insights. Funded in part by the ECMC Foundation. Managed distribution of survey incentives to a national cohort of college student respondents to a Food, Housing, and Basic Needs Insecurity Survey during COVID-19. Collaborated with Temple University researchers and The Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice. Summer 2020

Provide detailed data visualizations and analysis to support DCF’s Assistant Secretary for Substance Abuse and Mental Health services to support strategic decision-making and respond to ad hoc and legislative data requests. 2022- Present

US OF CARE

Knowli has partnered with ISF, Inc. to support the United States of Care, a nonpartisan non-profit focused on health care policy. Our team is creating a data warehouse solution, allowing the organization to curate and enhance their data. This solution will expand access to data and analytics insights and tools to more members of the organization, reducing computational and research burden from the non-profit’s research staff. 2022 – Present
